Property in Port Seton

The seaside town of Port Seton is always a popular location with those commuting into Edinburgh as the journey by car is both fast and easy and there are regular bus and train services from nearby Longniddry and Prestonpans Stations.

This is a beautiful area featuring two harbours, several golf courses nearby, an indoor sports centre and the popular race course at Musselburgh. There are lovely walks along the beaches and there is a swimming pool at nearby Tranent. In addition there are local primary and nursery schools in Cockenzie and the secondary school is Preston Lodge High.

As a result of new build activity in recent years, houses for sale in Port Seton have evolved from the traditional fishing village into a mix of flats and family homes. Its proximity to the City Bypass with fast access to the airport and motorway networks leading North and West makes Port Seton property popular with commuters to Edinburgh.

The older parts of the town, between the two harbours, still retain a more traditional feel and look, similar to many other small fishing villages on the east coast of Scotland. For the outdoor enthusiast, East Lothian's beautiful countryside and fine coastline are also virtually on the doorstep.

Elsewhere in East Lothian, the most popular towns with property for sale include North Berwick, Dunbar, Musselburgh and Haddington.
