The village of Crossgates lies in a rural setting a couple of miles East of Dunfermline, close to J3 on the M90 and adjacent to the A92 Fife Regional Road. It is a thriving and community minded village which shows little trace these days of its proud mining heritage. Halbeath Park & Ride is on its doorstep where long distance buses travel to all directions on the compass. The main line railway station at Inverkeithing is only a couple of miles to the South. It is an expanding and popular place to live and offers good quality housing of all types. There is a small range of shops, a post office and a primary school.
