Think local

Edinburgh Rugby with ESPCWe have often said that the person who buys your house is highly likely to already live nearby.  This is supported by official Registers of Scotland data which prove that in EH and KY postcode areas, 8 out of 10 purchasers lived within the same area as the seller.  Indeed, the majority of the remaining purchasers also lived in Scotland proving that for sellers, getting the local marketing right is vitally important.

ESPC is the obvious way to achieve this because of our massive reach through The ESPC Paper (30,000 copies each week), our website, espc.com, (500,000 visits a month) and through our two ESPC showrooms. Anyone who tries to sell their house without using ESPC's three marketing channels is going to struggle to achieve the maximum price, quickest sale or smoothest process.  That's not just ESPC hype - we have independent market research to support it!

Recognising and appreciating just how important the regional market, it is now ESPC policy to support local organisations and events.  This helps to keep the economy going, it focusses on promoting nearby businesses while making our website accessible world-wide (visitors from 159 countries from New Zealand right across the globe to Canada accessed espc.com last month) and it celebrates local successes.

In this Olympic year, ESPC is delighted to be supporting local Paralympic silver medalist and world champion sprinter, Libby Clegg, as she strives for gold medal success. We are also proud sponsors of Edinburgh Rugby who last Saturday played in the semi-final of the Heineken Cup (the top European trophy for professional rugby).  At the time of writing we do not know the result but it is a massive achievement by our local heroes.  And those who favour soccer will be pleased to know that, we have offered our support in terms of advertising, to Edinburgh's two top-flight football clubs Hibs and Hearts and, in Fife, to Dunfermline Athletic. We have also sponsored the Edinburgh Meadows Marathon and, away from sport, the Edinburgh Festival event Forth on the Fringe.

Over the past twelve months, ESPC staff and member firms have worked together to raise funds for two charities - Clown Doctors and Breast Cancer Care - whose efforts are ploughed back into the local community for the benefit of residents from the Lothians and Fife.

ESPC is an organisation which was founded for the benefit of clients of local solicitor firms and so we make no apologies for the fact that we focus very much on the immediate locale.  Let's work together to share the positive noise.
