10 Scary Houses
Through a very unscientific poll across the staff of ESPC, we have come up with our thoughts on the ten houses that send the biggest shiver down our spines.
Our 10 scariest houses are:
- The homes in The Real Mary King's Close (see top photo) - the sight, sounds and smells of a street that was forgotten and hidden.
- Hugh Laurie - as in the character he plays in House.
- Any house in Scooby Doo, especially the one at the start with bats flying out of it.
- The Blair Witch House - the house at the end that would best be described as a fixer-upper.
- The house where Mrs Bates 'lived' in Psycho.
- The House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe.
- Amityville Horror house on 112 Ocean Avenue, Long Island. From the front a very nice house but a different story when viewed from the side.
- Snake Mountain - the home of Skelator with its unique south facing balcony.
- The Fun House - purely for the mullet sported by Pat Sharp.
- Lunan Lodge (see lower photo) - the most haunted B&B in Scotland.
